- Product SKU: R1537
- Category: Batteries, ESP32 & NodeMCU Ecosystem, Home Automation Projects, Intermediate Projects, IoT Projects, Power & Energy, Relay Modules, Relays, Wireless & IOT, Wireless Module, ₹500 to ₹1500
The ESP8266 ESP-01 12V 2 Channels WiFi Relay Module is designed for smart home applications, employing the ESP-01 as the WiFi component and is compatible with 8-bit MCU chips. With a straightforward setup, users can wirelessly manage the dual relay functions using a mobile application within the local area network.
Key Features:
Integrated high-performance microprocessor STM8S103 alongside ESP-01 WiFi modules.
This module operates in two distinct modes:
Mode 1: Direct connection of the mobile phone to the WiFi module.
Mode 2: Both mobile phones and WiFi modules connected to routers.
Additional feature: Functions as a USB relay when the ESP-01 module is removed.
Transmission range: In open conditions, the stable transmission distance can reach up to 100M when the mobile phone is connected directly to the WiFi module.
When both the WiFi module and mobile phone are linked to a router, the transmission distance will vary based on the router's signal strength.
Utilises Smartconfig technology via the mobile app for configuration of WiFi credentials, with built-in memory for the username and password.
Equipped with a 5V, 10A//250V AC 10A//30V DC relay, capable of enduring 100,000 cycles, featuring diode discharge protection and rapid response times.
Includes a mode selection feature and a real-time status indicator for operational monitoring.
Contains a reserved UART debug interface and an STM8 SWIM programming download interface.
Specifications:
Transmission Distance (m): 400
Relay Channels: 2
Trigger Voltage (VDC): 12
Switching Voltage (VAC): 250@10A
Switching Voltage (VDC): 30@10A
Baud Rate: 9600
Dimensions (Length x Width x Height in mm): 59 x 40 x 20
Weight (gm): 60
Operating Instructions:
Please prepare the following before use:
5V/1A power adapter and the app “ESP Touch–Demo”
Step 1: Connect the 12V/1A power adapter to the IN+ and IN- terminals of the module.
Step 2: Install the app “ESP Touch–Demo” on your Android device. For first-time setup, configure the ESP-01 module in Mode 2 with your WiFi credentials.
Step 3: Install the app “Easy TCP–20” on your Android device, which serves as a TCP transmission tool for sending relay control commands. Select “SWITCH”, then input the relay control instructions in HEX format using the interface provided.
Instructions for Operating Modes and Additional Function:
Operating Mode 1 (Mobile phone connected directly to the ESP-01 module):
Power on the ESP-01 module. After approximately 4 seconds, the green light will flash for 2 seconds, indicating configuration completion.
Connect your mobile device to the AP hotspot signal broadcasted by the ESP–01 module.
Open the “EasyTCP–20” app and tap “CONNECT”. Upon successful connection, the green light will change to a slow flash. You can now send commands to control the relay switch.
Operating Mode 2 (Mobile phones and WiFi modules connected to routers simultaneously):
Power the ESP–01 module, which will flash a green light. Press the S1 button to switch to Mode 2. The blue light will flash, and after about 1 minute, it will change to a 0.5-second flash, indicating readiness for WiFi configuration through the “ESP Touch–Demo” app.
Ensure your mobile device is connected to the router. Open the “ESP Touch- Demo” app, input your router password, and tap “Confirm”.
Wait for the configuration to succeed. When the app displays the ESP-01 IP address (e.g., 192.168.0.189), it indicates that the module is connected to the router and has saved your credentials for future connections (approximately 20-60 seconds).
Note that the IP address (192.168.0.189) is dynamically assigned and may change on subsequent connections. The real-time IP can be viewed in the router’s device list.
Open the “Easy TCP–20” app and click “CONNECT”. Upon successful connection, the green light will revert from a 2-second flash to a steady state. You can then issue commands to control the relay switch.
Important Notes:
The initial configuration of the WiFi password may take longer (around 1 minute). Subsequent boot-ups will typically connect automatically within 20 seconds.
If changing the router, a power cycle or pressing the S2 button will clear the previous WiFi credentials. Reconfigure the ESP–01 module with the new WiFi account and password in Mode 2.
If the WiFi signal for the ESP–01 module is weak, the green light may extinguish, indicating a failed connection attempt. The module will try to reconnect automatically, with the green light flashing slowly during this process.
Both Mode 1 and Mode 2 require the green light to flash slowly or be steady for further configuration or during the waiting process. The key input will be inactive during this time.
The ESP–01 module lacks a timeout mechanism; if connected to mobile data for more than 6 minutes, TCP will automatically disconnect. Re-establish the connection via the “EasyTCP–20” app by tapping
