Get a high-quality 0.5-inch diameter force pressure sensor at an affordable price. This force-sensitive resistor (FSR) features a round sensing area with a diameter of 0.5 inches. Its resistance changes based on the pressure applied to the sensing area.
The resistance decreases as the applied force increases. When no pressure is applied, the resistance of the FSR is greater than 1MΩ. This sensor can detect forces ranging from 100g to 10kg.
The sensor has two 0.1-inch pitch pins that are breadboard-friendly, and it includes a peel-and-stick rubber backing for easy mounting. To measure the applied force, connect the FSR to a resistor to form a voltage divider and read the voltage at the junction.
While these sensors are straightforward to set up and effective for detecting pressure, they are not highly accurate. They are ideal for detecting whether something is being squeezed but may not be suitable for precise measurements like scales.
