The HC-06 is a widely used Bluetooth module, operating exclusively in slave mode. It provides an easy way to add wireless serial communication to your device. It works seamlessly with Arduino and other boards, and once paired with another Bluetooth device, it functions like a regular UART for data exchange.
This module includes a built-in 3.3V voltage regulator and breaks out essential pins such as Vcc, Gnd, Txd, and Rxd. Based on the CSR BC4 chip, it supports Bluetooth V2.0 + EDR. You can configure the baud rate, device name, and pairing password using AT commands when no Bluetooth connection is active. Since it functions as a slave device, it can pair with Bluetooth masters like computers, mobile phones, PDAs, PSPs, and more.
