50kg Half-bridge Experiments Body Scale Load Cell Sensor

The 50kg Half-bridge Load Cell Sensor measures force by applying pressure to the outer side of its E-shaped strain beam. This strain gauge, mounted on the adhesive-coated middle portion with white beam arms, detects shear force by bending the beam under stress. It is important that no additional forces obstruct the strain beam's ability to bend correctly.

The sensor can be utilized in three different ways:-

1. Single Sensor with External Resistors: By using an external resistor, the sensor can measure up to its full range of 50kg. Higher precision requires external resistors.

2. Dual Sensor Setup: Using two sensors in a full-bridge configuration allows for a combined measurement range of 50kg x 2 = 100kg.

3. Quad Sensor Setup: Employing four sensors in a full-bridge configuration extends the measurement range to 50kg x 4 = 200kg.
